On National Fettuccine Alfredo Day, Chef Fabrizio Bazzani embraced culinary tradition by preparing the classic dish with hand-made fresh pasta, butter, and Parmesan cheese.

A Taste of History

Fettuccine Alfredo has a storied past, dating back to 1908 in a small restaurant in Piazza Rosa, Italy. Alfredo Di Lelio created it as a nourishing dish for his wife, Ines, who had just given birth to their son. Made only with fresh pasta, double butter, and Parmesan cheese, the dish quickly gained fame, capturing the hearts and palates of diners worldwide. At Chianti, we were proud to recreate this time-honored recipe, staying true to its origins.
